Physically move oil to the US? Make Iraq give the US oil rights? (which is not much different than making it give cash).

There is probably a minerals deal that makes sense for Ukraine, but it is not even remotely like what Trump is offering, which appears to be a non-starter. The upside for Ukraine of some sort of deal is that if Ukraine did allow US access to Ukrainian ore, we'd have to kick Russia out to get at it.
