We need to remember that our largest media outlets are in business. They are there to make money. While stories about police killings can get people excited and sell soap or subscriptions, too many stories cause riots--bad for commerce.

I don’t understand why more police officers don’t push for stronger gun laws. One would think feeling outgunned by criminal elements would engender constant fear on the job and as a result, hasty trigger reactions. The inevitable result is tragedies multiplied.
