Good ways to get children to read:
1. Read aloud to them from babyhood onwards.
2. If it's too late for that, read when they're around.
3. Read a cool mix of stuff. Grab a graphic novel about your favourite historical or current topic. (There are lots of them around.)

5. Ask what they're reading in school and whether they're enjoying it.
6. If there's a comic book or novelisation of their favourite movie or TV show, get it for them.
