Same! Was actually excited when I thought it was a PVE coop, but it turning out to be just another shooter with looting >_>;
I think it's probably gonna be another Concord for me as well. Too many, much better, shooters already out.

I'm betting when the game will fail we'll hear stories about how it was supposed to be PvE coop or maybe even a single player game, just like what happened with Concord

I think gaming execs are pushing hard on shooter online games because they make the most money the longest. Even when it’s actually detrimental to the game IP itself. But sadly they hold the cash. 😅

I want the game to succeed, for the players and for the devs, but I've been so disappointed by bungie's direction with all the lay-off and the sloppiness of D2 that I'm not expecting much.

I'll probably watch Zanny make a video on it and be very happy when the puppy break time hits :D

it’s an extraction shooter, like tarkov, and even though there are PvE elements i feel what your saying. there are so many competitive multiplayer games and that cinematic trailer was so good i hope they at least make some more of those!

I'm a huge fan of the original Marathon, but I'll give this a shot since I've been looking for something to fill the Apex hole since EA forced that to take a nosedive in the past year. I'm not especially optimistic, but who knows? Bungie should at least know how to make a good shooter...

I stopped watching the trailer/stream pretty quickly. I like the digital/cyberpunk style but extraction shooters are meh to me. I'm always reminded of The Hunt which is another extraction game where you get to hunt monsters and try to leave with their bounty.

Yeah like I can't imagine people who have put like months or years into games like OW or Marvel Rivals wanting to switch because they've spent all this time learning the mechanics and finding their faves... it's so much investment into a new game you may not even like that much in the end?

That's why I also said months. I feel like even if you've played a game for a couple of months you've still invested time into it?

Infinity Nikki came out in December last year but I would feel absolutely no desire to suddenly switch to a new fashion game because 5 months is indeed a commitment
