i do wish that that it included some shops from the show tho… that was my fav part of these sets & it’s just completely absent here

& the minifigs do look cheap. again tho, i have all i need to make a perfect casual Harumi, & now that we know Dorama is the right shade he’s fine

i think Larow not having leg printing is the biggest disappointment w the minifigs, since idek if there’s a super accurate piece to replace them with

& Dorama’s puppet def should’ve been bigger, but lowkey since it has neck articulation i feel like i can still pose it well

Oh yeah, thats a way of looking at it i've not really done as i own 2 of the city sets. As a standalone set it really isnt great. But as an extension tho finish the gardens and markets it works really well imo. Fun set, but reliant on the others

I dont even see it as its own set, i just see it next to the markets looking really great. But it's reliance on them, plus the bad minifigs makes it criticisable.

What makes the city sets so good imo is that every one of them is an incredible display piece on their own and that the connectability is a neat extra feature. I'm afraid of the Ninjago city line turning into just expansions and not good display pieces on their own.
