Former SBC member here, gave up fundamentalist beliefs long ago.

I can assure you that if it isn’t worse than the Catholic church, it’s just as awful.

National convention claimed they could do nothing bc loose structure of denomination, but expelled churches for female assistant pastors.

Thank you for sharing this. It is sickening and like the Catholic Church, a blind eye continues to be turned. I have religious trauma from growing up. I wasn’t a victim and I don’t know any but the amount of time I spent around clergy (school and choir) who knew this was going on and did nothing

It’s so disgusting. I grew up in the Catholic Church in Boston and when it all came to light it was crushing. My heart hurts for the victims and for those who are good people.
