Anyone else have a difficult time during a regular week if you don’t have at least one day at home doing nothing and speaking to no one?

I have every Tuesday off and no one is home and I just do absolutely nothing, I love it. It’s my favourite day of the week.

I teach all week. Saturday, I literally can’t speak or look at anyone. It’s great for my marriage.

It's not that I don't want to talk to anyone; I don't want anyone talking to ME. I just want to be left alone. Literally.

I’m AuDHD & I need solitude & silence to regenerate & keep emotional dysregulation in check.

My spouse is also on the spectrum & we’re child free by choice because kids would just send me over the edge w/their noise, needs, and mess.

Absolutely!! I thought that was only me. I get irritated if on my day at home alone, my kid's classes are cancelled or my husband decides to work from home. Like my whole week got wrecked!

This was never a problem until my husband retired. I love that man but please stop talking to me all day

It would be ideal in the perfect world, but highly impractical for me in my current season.

It is an important ritual to spend time alone shouting vicious curses into the ether until my existential rage has been expelled.
How have you been ?
