Furber called himself Baruch the Scribe, and he owned the 4chan board where Q first posted, and was a big early booster of the Q posts. He’s always been one of the prime suspects for the first Q writer, and I think there’s some very good evidence that points to him.

The account claiming to be Q? Nah around 2020 it lost all it's rizz. The qanon movement however? Still going strong. It just fractured into splinter groups and kept going though. Q didn't flame out, it just stopped posting, so all the baking sub-cults just kept on doing their thing without Q.

I had a few conversations with him on Twitter, I'm sure at one point he was but I could tell being on the run was really getting to him, only so long you can live in foil lined rooms and island hoping on an armed light boat before it gets tiring.

It matters insofar as narrative, the chief weaponization vector of Q, matters. Completing the historical narrative gives clarity to the evolution of the beast, which can help strip it of its power for those who might otherwise be taken in.
