Destroying small & medium businesses and sopping up their customers & resources is The Oligarch Way.
The thing these MFs keep forgetting is — if you downgrade the buying power of the consumer base so that they can’t afford all this stuff anymore, their companies will hit the skids. Auto-destruct.
The most stupid and lazy administration in US history. Where are the analysts and planners? This is all "shoot from the hip" bulls***. Bumbling criminals at the helm. Can you imagine the movies that will document this? More chaos than the 3 stooges and "who's on first" routine
To be fair, Trump operates under the hare-brained illusion that ALL production should happen in the US i.e. also the parts should be manufactured in the US and not have to be imported.
Failing to realize that decades upon decades of post-industrial global economic development have things the way they are, and they’re not going to switch over in 4 years or less, no matter how much he/they want it to happen.
Trump did this in his first term by putting a tarriff on steel but not steel nails. A nail manufacturer in the US lost business because now it's cheaper to import a steel nail than it is to import the steel and makes the nails here. #dotard
I know this a popular statement, but it’s entirely possible that those bankruptcies were purposeful and a way to launder money. The guy has ties to the Russian mafia, and every New Yorker knows it.
Also that line guy working chill in his own comfortable workspace is romanticizing what “bringing back manufacturing” to the U.S. would even look like.
But, hey! We’re on the path of destroying workers rights and safety regulations just like Musk et al. always wanted.
Every once in a while when I worked, would run into a govt official who would demand, "For security purposes we need to use computers made only in America!"
Ain't nobody got that much time on their hands to explain and answer that kind of demand.
Yes, it would be super cool.
But unpossible.
Tim Cook, Apple, succeeded in creating a tariff loophole.
Which rich and powerful people have been succeeding at doing in the tax world for eons.
Let's say it cost Tim 100 million to get that loophole.
But he rakes in 500 million.
Profit!
Loopholes, invented before the invention of writing.
First you would need to make chips.
Also LCD Screens.
Also power bricks.
Also batteries.
Also keyboards.
Also track pads.
Also speakers.
Also plastic cases.
Also product boxes.
None of those are made in the U.S. except maybe some plastic and boxes.
My current computer was more/less custom built by a US company. My computer needs are nothing like as complex as many US businesses (I just wanted one better for Adobe Lightroom than standard ones) or even avid gamers. This seems another way Trump has hurt consumers & businesses.
Some one needs to ask Bessent about this. The poor guy looks like he wants to cry every time he gets asked a hard question and has to make up some BS answer
I think folks are missing the fact that these deals have nothing to do with making America better or looking after US manufacturing and jobs. It's about power and control, the little people be damned, and it always will be. He/they are not interested in America, except insofar as it benefits them.
Trump logic.
As always his politics are well thought through and doesn't have to be reversed. Well maybe a few times just to make some insider trading.

So very, very #TrumpRegime --------sticking it to US businesses. (Why are they just meekly accepting this???)

--it remains astonishing that so many in the business world seem incapable of understanding this basic fact.
The good news: the car production is already in the US.

What do you expect from a "man" that bankrupted multiple casinos? Rocket science you ain't going to get . . .
.
Did trump take away those jobs and how much did he pocket to do so?
