Hey that happened to me in Art Studio Pro too years ago! (Mobile) That alongside the eyedropping tool not being precise with targeting the colors. I dunno if this will work in Procreate but have you tried maybe switching the screen mirroring then back to reference mode? That’s how I fixed my issue…

It's a known problem with procreate. They "fixed" it supposedly but it still happens for certain colors.

I've seen people say it might have to do with RGB vs CMYK settings, but in my experience it doesn't matter.

Might be subtle JPEG artifacts or something like that. Maybe try selecting a whole area and scaling it down to one pixel, and pick that?

See, I thought that. But this is a pretty clean png. But I did try that, and the colors still get muted. Don’t know why.

The only thing I can think of is the program doing some post processing on the image to handle the color encoding the image is set to be using. The color picker is supposed to handle that too though, unless it just sucks.

Try manually applying the linear to sRGB equation to the color it picked

The formula is just sRGB=pow(linear, 1/2.2), just do that with all the individual color values (red, green and blue) and see if that looks better? Don't forget to remap though, the program will probably give you values in the 0-255 range, the formula is gonna work with 0-1 only

For that just divide by 255 and multiply by 255 for the other way around

Like I basically had to insert the actual reference images I’m using into the canvas to get the correct colors. Which yeah, I’m getting the actual colors needed but it’s also more tedious compared to just eye dropping the reference box.
