Amongst all the East London Group watercolours, this is one of my absolute favourites. This is "Early Morning at Abbey Mills" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1928. I believe that it might show part of either what was the West Ham Gas Works or the Abbey Mills Chemical Works. #EastLondonGroup #SaturdayMorning
