From my understanding, China is using tik-tok to harvest your data, whether it be personal information or location data.
That should concern you. Personally, I agree with the decision to ban it.
It's bad enough that your "smart rice maker" from china is likely listening to you...

I don't use TikTok, but seems like China can just hack our computer or cell phone to harvest what is already out there.

The harvesting won't stop because they ban the app.

It has never been a free market. The government always privileges its friends. If it were a free market, we would not subsidize businesses or give tax breaks to one group over another.
