The issue is the fact that a private citizen has taken it upon himself to exact vigilante justice and ended someone's life. And people are celebrating that. From what I have learned I have no sympathy for the dead guy, but a society where people act like this is not one you want to live in.
You're right, we don't want to live in this society. It sucks to be fodder in an endless for-profit war. And when you're at war, you NEED to see that the enemy can be vulnerable so you can keep fighting. When there is no systemic justice to be had, vigilante justice is the only alternative.
Ok, that's either you willfully misunderstanding what I mean by saying Private Citizen, or my severe lack of understanding American law.
