Old school! There's talk of demolishing that block for a new development. I'm not looking forward to seeing those buildings go away. Lots of fond memories at the Essen Haus and the Comeback.
I love places that look like people linger there, have a few drinks and some really good conversation.
We have a great pub here in Ottawa called the Manx, it’s not big at all, but it’s super cozy: red velvet banquettes and copper topped tables. And it’s below sidewalk level.
