My dearest Martha, I fear the situation here grows worse. I have been subsisting on leftovers from the day of giving thanks for a solid week and I fear the moment may come when I simply cannot choke down another morsel of turkey. When I was a kid, my Dad insisted on buying the largest turkey possible for Christmas, preferably the size of an emu, and freezing the leftovers. I remember having turkey sandwiches/soup/curry every day until about Easter

One year, I didn’t want to do a turkey but everyone else was offended that I suggest a non-traditional Thanksgiving. So I roasted a turkey and everyone had one plate and then nobody wanted to eat turkey anymore and I ate nothing but turkey leftovers for like the next three weeks straight 😵‍💫
