D-WAVE systems are big and heavy (you need a lab with a concrete slab just to put it on) and this isn’t an attack method that works for large scale attacks, it’s targeted. But it’s also just the first successful published attack and we need to start using the new NIST post quantum encryptions

Architecturally, QUBOs/Annealers are not a path to breaking RSA in the same way that LLMs are not a path to AGI.
I doubt that’s changed since 2022.
