No child should be made to pray during the school day. The legal requirement for schools – even schools with no religious ethos – to have daily acts of worship should end. Inclusive assemblies where all children are included, regardless of background, is the way forward.

At my children's school assemblies nobody prays, worships, or anything like that.
Is it a legal requirement that some schools ignore?
