Yes, fuck-you-I-got-mine attitudes are bad. Yes, the atomization of people into seemingly disconnected consumers is bad.

But it’s a rhetorical and tactical mistake to conflate either of those with the idea of personal autonomy. Dont cede that ground to assholes.
