Sometimes I learn a phrase or expression in my target language and instantly remember where I learned it from: podcast, blog, random film scene, etc. It seems that my memory is tagging locations! Does anyone else's brain work like that? 🙂 #LangSky - ThreadSky

This is 100% true for me when I create my own flashcards. I always remember the original source content even if I don't remember the answer
(which points to the evidence that creating flashcards is a means to learn on itself, not to just review them)

Yes, mine does that too! 😊 I often remember exactly where I heard something—like a scene in a movie or a line in a podcast. It’s funny how our brains do that!

Yup! I can still remember the words I looked up a few years ago while watching movies or analyzing lyrics 😁

Moreover, I don't remember words I'd crammed for tests at school but I can for example remember a word "aficionado" that was introduced as a word of the day by our high school teacher 👀

Yes, me too - especially when it involves a verbal exchange in a memorable place, obviously in actual places when I’m there but also between characters on screen.
