There are many different types of shrike throughout the world, but the loggerheads called to me visually for this piece. Even now I like to doodle them doing little violences.
Also, I'm so flattered! I'd never heard of him before but will definitely keep him in my inspirational rotation from now on

Definitely check him out. Some of it is very billowing slightly romantic but his colours for landscapes have this punched up surreal moodiness that I think you’d vibe with
