Absolute nightmare policy. Hastings & other areas of Susses wide are polar opposite to Brighton. Hastings in top 50 poverty level. Itll be clash of the titans between them all. Used to try and get fdg for Eb but due to 1 area with low pop but high wealth Bton wins with diversity Hastings bc low inc🤷‍♀️

Labour following RW Tory policy and carving up England .
Cutting local democracy ….the available town hall , the local councillors.
Seeding the regions , putting the onus on Mayors, while retaining central gov power to overrule the local .
Giving councils weeks to decide to unify or hold elections

Nobody voted to have our district councils subsumed into a vast unitary authority with a mayor, and we are not going to be allowed to vote on it. No doubt there will be a 'consultation' full of leading questions, the result of which will be ignored
