This makes me sick. I worked in a leadership and adminstrative role for a long term residential treatment facility in Akron, Ohio for many years. Never a dollar wasted, nor fraud. We were an accredited (JCAHO) and we served 60 male, female clients at any time. I see these frauds everywhere. Bad.

It really makes me sick, too. I used to be a home based provider on two different reservations in AZ. This type of abuse exacerbates the existing mistrust.

I'm 75 now, and I really should of thought of this earlier.

Ways to insert ourselves into the reform of these scam places.
One is to become an ombudsman to visit, inspect, and handle all client compliants directly. Sell yourself to the prime authority who manages the funding of the services.

During my tenure in the treatment field, I was also the Client Rights Officer and our County had the Ombudsman who provided a high level of ethical guidance and investigations. So different states and I'm sure the reservations have rules and ovesite, but make sure they are not missing client rights.
