Perhaps. When I use a headline that’s quoted from an article everyone’s discussing, that isn’t meant to be an endorsement. It’s just naming what we’re talking about. Same with the recent “Why Apple Still Hasn’t Cracked AI” piece.
With respect to AI, it seems clear that some people are ideologically opposed and are looking for other reasons to condemn it. Meanwhile, the people arguing the environmental stuff is no big deal all seems be pro-AI.
There's the useful side of AI and then there's the grifter/sociopathic angle that is being used to dupe investors and kill countless jobs for short term profiteering.
