hey, so do you reckon if in kafka's metamorphosis instead of turning into a huge (gross) bug he turned into some kind of anime eyed, pastel coloured, chibi-looking kawaii monster thing it would have gone better or worse for him and his family?

I think that's a MORE interesting question. I imagined his initial thoughts and feelings would be ran through a kind of a subconscious filter that sort of, has them coming out as cutesy japanese, but under that, he's like, still the same person? trying to communicate about the things he wants in...

They might have pretended to still love him if he was making them bank though. At least until they got sick of him and sold him to a passing circus or whatever.
