Authoritarian? Oligarchic? Yes. But Trump is something more primitive: the classic narcissist who leads thru patrimonialism. He longs to be loved as father of his nation. The state is an extension of Trump's household; not loving Trump is akin to patricide, deicide, murder in the cathedral.
