Absolutely! I'm just chatting here with peeps (how civilised it is here!) about how little of his work I've seen. Until last year, only The Elephant Man and Dune. Then my niece gave me a disc of Blue Velvet, which I'd avoided because the iconic Hopper inhaling clip had kind of scared me off. 1/
So I watched it – and really appreciated/enjoyed it. I blogged about it (I have done professional theatre reviewing and a bit of film reviewing in my work life). So my next aims are Eraserhead and Twin Peaks. Let's see how that goes! Thank you for responding! 2/2
I had a weird experience with Blue Velvet when I was in my early 20s (so we are going back a bit!). I had met a lad on a night out and went back to his place and started watching it with him on video, but then he turned a bit creepy so I did a runner. Took me decades to watch it again!
Twin Peaks is a masterpiece. I painted this just last year, pity it's no longer there (street art doesn't last long) as I would have gone back and added an RIP on there for DL.
Eraserhead also brilliant. Enjoy!
PS nice to meet you, and yes it's very pleasant here :)
