Hmmmm, I don't think I have personally computed the rate of warming for the Arctic mean SST compared to the global mean SST. I will have a look!

Maybe you have a motivated student who would like to plot SST anomalies in the single ocean basins.

Will be important to be able to understand how the MHW feedback evolves as it is till now a non-linear signal. Question thou can it keep these rates up...

But changes in the atmosphere caused by disturbances from surface extremes are also very important - e.g. marine heatwaves seem to be able to support the atmospheric conditions that caused them - e.g. blocking patterns. But its just starting to be discussed so lets see what we will find out...

Will be highly interesting to see what rate we have in this region.

Currently, we have a new record hot spot in the oceans - Southern Indian Ocean and Southern Ocean Indian sector - its a new development so near to Antarctica so high SSTAs. And the whole region develops record levels just now...
