Local artist Emily Fromm’s mural, tentatively titled “A History of Play,” will turn the concrete canvas of the beachfront public restrooms into a pastel-colored timeline of the Sunset neighborhood’s history as “a recreational space,” Fromm said.
The mural, located on the west-facing wall of the restrooms adjacent to the N Judah Muni line’s western terminus, is about 40% completed. Fromm expects to finish it mid-March.
