Fun fact: the GBA outright didn't have a sound chip, that's all being run off the CPU.
This is also the reason why the ill advised games that attempted rudimentary 3D on that console had so little music or sound in them.
To round out the Mega Man series, here are a couple songs from the X and Zero series, though I felt like SNES and GBA might’ve been cheating. (There are definitely even more examples in these two series)
Definitely check out the works of Tim Follin, but I'd be remiss to not mention the incredible work the Konami Sound Team did on the Famicom version of Castlevania 3, which expanded the Famicom sound hardware to add extra channels and it's incredible.
