Teachers obviously aren't paying attention to the students in their classrooms. (The ONE who did didn't even get a response from the principal/SRO until she had already been shot. She can't even hold them accountable for their actions, more like lack thereof.)

...to sneak an AR15 inside a school (or anywhere else). It's not like someone could hide that thing in a purse or backpack. No way should anyone be able to hide an AR15 in a locker, restroom, etc. to retrieve later. No one's ever watching the hallways. No one's watching the restrooms. 3/

Number of guns isn't important. What's important is if the potential mass shooter has the ability to get his/her gun inside the school (or other location) and open fire. Schools don't care. The adults don't even bother to pay attention to what's going on around them. No way should ANYONE be...2/

It's not coincidence. It's neglect. We've neglected our own for too long, and it shows, and it shows in this obscene (our children(!) being slaughtered) manner. The ladder didn’t kill my classmate. The rooftop didn’t kill my classmate. My safe town didn’t kill my classmate. An unstable person obtained a firearm and killed my classmate. They could have done it without a ladder or a rooftop. They should never had access to a gun.

No, but the unsecured ladder, the rooftop and lack of security/law enforcement neglect helped the PERSON who pulled the trigger. The gun didn't do it on it's own. Taking guns from law abiding citizens isn't going to solve the problem, since only law abiding citizens would be the only ones...2/

That shooter was a law abiding citizen until a few hours ago. Like most murder cases.

Gun availability helps them move forward with it. With harder access, most would give up.

Stop eating gun manufacturers propaganda, guns make everything more dangerous, specially for law abiding owners.

True, and that's why I also place emphasis on law enforcement doing their jobs (actually enforcing gun control laws already on the books), securing schools, and curing our culture problem (WHY the person took a firearm into a school). Merely infringing on rights doesn't do a THING to fix the problem

In crime scenarios, like house theft, the regular dudes will be underdogs against other armed crooks. They start on higher ground, are more coldblooded and will react more violence if they perceive the threat of a gun. Leading to loss of life and property instead of just property.

Most illegal guns are from the same brands as the legal ones. Guess what, technically they were all manufactured legal, some drop into the black market, and high availability everywhere makes them accessible. If guns granted safety they wouldn't be one of the most stolen goods for sure.
