Due to #SportingKC participating in the Concacaf Champions Cup, I fully expect the SKC first team will NOT be one of the 16 MLS clubs participating in the 2025 US Open Cup. SKCII will likely be representing the club in the 2025 tournament.

My understanding is that the Sounders will NOT be one of the 16 MLS teams competing in the U.S. Open Cup this year. The Tacoma Defiance will play in their stead. It will be the first time since 2015 that the Sounders’ affiliate will participate in the tournament.
