Me too. But I'm not particularly confident the US will give up its global hegemony without taking the entire planet down with it. And with the testosterone & alcohol fueled moron, Hegseth, in charge of the military an all-out war between the US and Iran, if not China also, seems ever more likely.
I really don't want to have to rely on that possibility! I'd much rather see the US finally admit it now has peer competitors with whom it needs to share global leadership.
I wouldn't put it that way. They're helping build it but not lead it.
It doesn't look like they have any interest in being a hegemony of anything other than Chinese and former Chinese territories.
They might be forced to take that role, but it will not be because they want it.
You gotta play a fuck ton of Tetris, it strengthens your monk muscles.
Tetris is and will always be “fun”. you may not go yippee but time will march peacefully forwards, and your concerns will feel alien and distant, life just happens you know, at some point the blocks pile too high.

I'm so tired of persisting in the doomed world the boomers created
Things are pretty calm here in Asia.

I feel like this is good advice in the physical and metaphorical sense.
