My Dad had Parkinson's for 60 years. Brilliant man, but toward the end, he couldn't talk. Everyone assumed he was stupid. Drove me insane. We stop listening to people w PHYSICAL problems and treat them as if they are demented or just not there. It's our bad, not theirs. I can imagine how you felt.😡

Last year he was alive and in a nursing home, I left a note on his TV to leave it tuned to CNN or some such. Always found it on cartoons. He ignored it, but he was SO SMART and craved news. I'd read the paper to him just so he could get some. That's fucking insulting for the staff to do to him.
