after rewatching, that Chiefs performance was another level magnitude of concern compared to others this season. in the mix as the worst game of Mahomes' career, easily bottom-5

So many jealous fans yapping about Mahomes being lucky and a bad QB. To be a 13-1 team it is impossible to be lucky, be real for crying out loud! You all hated Brady also when he was in his prime, maybe you just hate great players who are not on your teams? KC will be there again for the Superbowl!
Outside of a few plays that comprised of backyard hijinks I would say this entire offense has been anemic all season with Mahomes playing like a bottom 10 QB. Been a rough watch and at least 4 of those games could have easily gone the other way at the buzzer.
Just got to get LT to average/slightly below and for Pat to trust it enough to iron out mechanics. Things looked worse after the Raider game last year and we all saw how that turned out.
It's not great and it does seem like it has affected Pat and how he is playing. I'm normally not so forgiving, but we have 6+ years of Reid/Mahomes/Spags figuring it out by January and it mostly working out. I think they can put something together between Humphries and Thuney to be good enough there
If I thought they needed good LT play, I'd agree. They won last year with Devonta Smith being below avg. I guess a lot depends on Humpries being healthy(which is a big if). Brown is about back and the WR room is a ton better than last year. I feel better about the D with Omenihu back.
LMAO at "worst 13-1 team I've ever seen" and "healthiest team in the league." How many 13-1 teams have you seen? They've lost WR1 and WR2, a starting CB, RB1 for most of the yr, 2nd best DL until a few weeks ago, new LT is out, starting S went down last week, and now Pat is banged up.
They lost their RB1 half the season, have 3 WR, 3 TE, and starting CB on IR, lost the new LT after one game, Omenihu just got back from IR, K1 and K2 injuries, S out w/concussion, and mahomes banged up right now.
Every team piles up injuries this time of year. Chiefs are doing well for dealing with them so long. Going from one of the best to K3 usually has some impact when offense has been seriously undermanned and playing a 1st place schedule. Skill position injuries + poor OT play is a recipe for disaster
They didn’t lose Omenihu this year because they didn’t have him to start. Haven’t lost anyone who’s coming close to being Pro Bowl caliber, except the RB. They have All Pros all over and they haven’t lost one of them.
When he had time to throw but still missed deep, that’s a huge problem. Interesting that he hits DHop (slower guy) but is long on throws to the speedster XW. Can’t wait to see what happens with Hollywood
Also a byproduct of not feeling safe in the pocket imho, flinging it too hard to get it deep because that's the play design, instead of being able to let it develop and concentrate on ball placement.
eh, that’s actually why I’m not worried. The whole offense is working through some stuff, so I don’t get too concerned about any of the individual outputs being bad. Assuming they get the line figured out, they’ll be fine by January, like always
That’s a lot of hopium that the recent trend is not a trend, when the eye-test and the stats scream something is wrong. 13-1 is hard to argue against, you are what your record say you are.
Wasn’t Mahomes injured in last game? Maybe he should have taken a snap and sat down. Game may have been “important”, but much more important games are right around the corner. And if I’m wrong about the injury, nevermind, but I thought I saw som’n about like 3 games in quick succession 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Who knows what will happen in January, but it is remarkable how this franchise finds a way to make it work.
Worst 13-1 team I’ve ever seen.
