What's the point? They plan on causing enough disruption that there are massive protests so they can invoke the insurrection act and call out the military. Why have people worried about harming a cilivian population when that's one of their goals?

I keep waiting for any conservative who I know personally or who holds political office to be like "you know what, this is enough, I'm out," and I'm still not seeing it happen. I truly don't know where the moral line is, and I suspect that only severe economic pain will make some shift.

Despite their faults, a whole lot of liberals and leftists broke with Biden over the issue of Being Old (not to mention Gaza), so it seems to be an asymmetric problem.

I've been asking myself the same questions. I mean they've gone along with the "dehumanize a minority group" and "send minority group to prison camps" bits so far so....

maybe the closest liberal analogue are Clinton deadenders or "RBG shouldn't retire" but...those are highly criticized factions

Yeah, the propaganda is key. People literally believe that Biden, Harris, USAID, etc. are complicit in all kinds of corruption and human trafficking, so at best the smarter, more well-intentioned conservatives come around to "both sides are terrible, but at least Republicans support my values."
