Nice right. A heartfelt message from someone and to someone across the aisle. A message that was not about criticizing politics, but simply well wishes from one person to another.

But wait! In this toxic world of Pierre Pollieve, such decency is not permitted. See the response of Jeni Byrne, a PC strategist and close adviser to Pollievre, coming some two hours after O'Toole posted his message:
"For anyone unsure why Erin is no longer leader of the Conservative Party…. [Anand] supported DEI [diversity, equity and inclusion] policies like name, rank and pronouns. Tampons in men's rooms, etc."
Does this sound familiar? Change O'Toole's name to Biden and Byrne's name to Trump, and you would have no doubt that these words came from Trump's mouth.
That is where we are headed this country. Public civility and the idea of disagreeing with a person's politics but still respecting the person gone, ridiculing "wokeness" without really defining what is meant,
extreme anti-choice members of Parliament making, or at least attempting to make, decisions about women's health and reproductive rights, legitimizing lawbreakers who occupy parts of a city and disrupt the lives and livelihood of residents,
having anti-vaxers making decisions on health care, including passing legislation banning vaccine mandates, legitimizing the likes of Jordan Peterson with his toxic masculinity, climate change denying, and anti-lgbtq philosophy, and finally, acquiring the endorsement of likes of Elon Musk.
