Haynes was an amazing drummer. I loved many of his recordings, especially Vistalite.

Such awful news. We all really hoped he would just live forever. What a blessing for us all that he was able to keep playing in top form as long as he did. Btw this, Quincy, and Lou Donaldson, a week of very heavy losses.

Sad news. I saw his trio with John Pattatucci and Danilo Perez live in Boston in the early 2000s. Pushing 80 years old and totally magnetic. (The young whippersnappers were good too!)
