Idk what the solution is, but it will almost certainly involve “1 person = 1 identity”.

Heck, it might even involve having to put up collateral (ala crypto staking) that gets revoked for spammy behavior.

Thought that myself...don't like the pay-to-play paywall...but ...think if that becomes true...and our online is like our social security...these government accounts could directly vote on each bill in house/senate? Reps just become admin assists to count votes: true representation.

I’ve been having chats about this concept for a wee while. Lots of ideas put forth. Some have suggested that we’re assigned a Digital ID number at birth; some have suggested the right to be anonymous is removed… its going to be extremely interesting to see how (& how quickly) this concept evolves!

It’s an interesting question whether we’ll actually have a 100% reliable way to do this or not in a timeline where we have really strong AGI.

I guess you could always require showing up somewhere in person, but short of that?

WorldCoin is another approach. Get a private key derived from some biometric then use that key to sign your online activity.

I think you’re heading in the right direction but I don’t think that proof will be possible digitally with future evolutions of AI. I think instead we will have to model systems with the assumption that we are dealing with an AI, which might mean a return to physical authentication means.
