Or at least it's not just a memory thing. There always could be multiple overlapping problems.

Maybe it is the hdr thing. Just read some of the forums and doesn't sound like hdr disables frame gen. It sounds like it cripples it with worse performance

Interesting. I've got a 7800x3d. Gpu utilisation is 97% so looks like the cpu is keeping up. But frame gen is just dead. Soon as I turn it on. Memory without it is already 96% so I assumed it was overflow since it the tanks out

If you turn on the in game performance monitoring to high, you can see the CPU time per frame, it was spiking (gpu still keeps steady usage) for me. I don't know how the driver, hdr, dlss frame gen interact with the CPU. I'm just saying I started playing last night, and what went red was cpu.
