I don't understand how fast food restaurants can have signs up saying they can't accept bills larger than $20, when you barely get any change back from a $20 when you order a combo. I don't pay with cash very often, but still...

Dad would not be happy. He always wants to pay with a hundred. Seriously though, you would think they would prefer cash, regardless of the denomination since it avoids fees that credit card companies charge.
Yeah, you'd think cash is king. It would be easy for a family of 4 to spend over $50 at pretty much any fast food restaurant these days, and it is absurd that if you tried to hand them a fifty dollar bill, you'd be rebuffed. $50 in 2025 feels about like $20 did in 2000.
