As a hopeful game designer and RPG self-publishing author, I would never sell a product made and filled with AI stuff. If I pulled such a move, I would not charge for it.
I've said from the start that AI for visual communication would likely go a similar route as stock images. It'll inevitably take up some part of the market, but it would also make it obvious you can't afford/are to cheap to use bespoke materials, and would say very little else about your brand.
Take a gander at the Coke Christmas commercial - created by a marketing team, ‘cause you can tell nobody with artistic talent was involved.
Has the uncanny valley vibe.
“Computer, make a Christmas commercial based on our previous ones, but remove the heart.”
a buzz term that has had a negative connotation in pop culture for decades, conjuring images of the destruction of humanity and robots taking over the world? making people a little cautious when its tagged onto literally every product and service? gosh who wooda thunk it?
Sharing this with the manager who thinks AI will create efficiencies with the public who doesn’t trust us in the first place (we’re a public agency, part of a big government). Our group does communications and public involvement. I feel like I’m screaming warnings into the wind right now….
I drew it because a24 released those bizarre ai generated movie posters for civil war which were so strikingly odd and terrible, it’s kind of funny how absolutely hoodwinked marketing execs were by all this
You know what sucks about sites like Reddit and Stack Overflow?
Unless you were an early adapter, you weren't there to ask questions, or have an influence.
Everyone else is irrelevant.

"With the power of AI, we can completely destroy *decades* of audience trust in minutes."
