I used to live on an orchard in Central Otago and I miss good apricots

Best apricots I've ever had were from the heritage trees at Stewart Town, Bannockburn.

Yum. The only plums I have any respect for aside from omegas (the very best plum).

Actually I tell a lie. I picked a very large, very oval, gold-coloured plum from a tree in Golden Bay the other week and it was delicious. No idea of the variety.

Damsons are much later in Otago. Won't be ready till March. I have one tree that goes absolutely nuts.

There was just a NW ad for juicy nectarines and I was like "as if!"
I miss good stone fruit. Our local dairy used to actually have a good selection, but they changed owners.
Most you can get commercially is so very not juicy and tasty.

We went up central Otago on Friday and I had this white peach that was probably the nicest thing I’ve ever put in my mouth
