I am begging the national media to start taking this seriously.

Stop buying the claims that the framing of "temporary" or "pause."

They are altering the review processes of federally funded scientific research from merit-based peer review processes to political screening by ideologues.

Genuine question, not trying to doomer or be snarky: what happens if this is taken to federal court, a judge orders the federal government to resume these disbursements, programs, etc. while the impoundments case is being made, and the admin just says "No."? What is there to compel obedience?

(obv my terminology and process probably isn't accurate, but I hope I'm getting my point across. What happens if at the end of the legitimate legal/political process to require the Exec to disburse and spend as Congress has directed, the Exec refuses? Is the only remedy impeachment?)
