Capitalism, in and of itself, works better than a command economy. The problem with 21st Century capitalism is that it is dominated by monopolies - ironically, economic libertarianism leads to less free markets and less freedom all round.
Some of you guys have it wrong. I don't think this person is implying that democracy is a bad thing, they're implying that "democracy" under capitalism effectively becomes oligarchy when it goes unchecked.
Unfettered capitalism corrupts and destroys democracy.
I think you are wrong.
When I think about democracy, it is a society of diverse thinking / discussing / deciding individuals, with no fear of any restriction or punishment.
What you depict as "democracy" is capitalism. And capitalism for sure has never been / will never be democratic.
Yeah, like the way Bolshevism and Maoism got branded Communism Capitalism got dressed up as Democracy. Now of course it is further degenerating into full on Cleptocracy combined Autocracy and they'll keep branding it Democracy. It's no coincidence Trump adores Putin the Monster Autocrat!
In our democracy our freedom revolves around freedom of brand choice. That's about it other than voting every 4 yrs to choose someone who represents brands we would choose
I think we’re on the same team. Messaging needs to be clear… this looks anti-democratic to a casual observer. Capitalism is how we run our economy, insufficiently regulated capitalism, always leads to fascism - according to my dear old departed dad (who knew TFW)
Keep up the fight!
