In the Province of Ontario there is something called the Sunshine List. All government employees, & any organization that is funded by Ontario then those employees appear on this list (if their wages are over $100,000.00 CAD).

Teachers actually don’t get over time pay. It’s all contractual. Only thing we might get extra pay for is proctoring SATs or Summer School. And that’s not even overtime pay.

Understood. SIL is a PhD professor & does sometimes get what they *call* overtime due to that. (It’s not) The VAST majority of educators, as rightly pointed out, not only don’t…they aren’t appropriately salaried or bennied for the public expectation of their success. Educating is often a calling.

Trust me it is definitely a calling! I work as a teacher here in MA but not at the professorial level/college but high school so it’s definitely a bit different at the higher levels like that. It’s why tenure is so important there vs being an adjunct.
