Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
The shadows grew long,
and he started to bawl.
He teetered, he tumbled, his confidence crumbled,
"At least now," he sighed, "I won’t feel at all."
When he leapt, all stood frozen in thrall.
A thud
then shambles
A guard smiled, “that’s what I like, my eggs scrambled”
Then it turned to winter and he slipped on the ice in his driveway near the street, as the city plow went by and it buried him under the snow till spring...
My granddaughter cried and cried when she first heard this poem. She is 2. So we added a verse:
And then the doctor came
And she brought glue
And Humpty Dumpy was as good as new

Humpty Dumpty had a great autumn”
Thank you for making this.
No where in the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme do they say Humpty was an egg
And then the doctor came
And she brought glue
And Humpty Dumpy was as good as new
For all those sensitive souls, you’re welcome!
In fact, it's theorized that the poem was about a canon mounted on a wall! 🤯
I'll see myself out.
