They can be fussy… the 40 year old one has lost all leaves and a few branches were iffy for survival.. this is a younger specimen and also in a very sheltered spot by fence. They are beautiful and worth the risk🥰

Interesting, mine's about 10 years old and was about 5ft tall but earlier this year about 90% of it went crispy and died so I've pruned it back hard, will see what it does next year, if it survives!

It was a brutal weather summer and our enormous sugar maple got very stressed, lost all leaves in September😳 fingers crossed for both of our trees🤞🤞🥲
