hey!!! new article!
instead of a game of the year article that attempts to rank what came out this year, I chose to write a series of mini (well, not always mini) reviews on all the games i FINISHED this year!

FF7Re got high marks from me in part because of its messy sloppy maximalism; an everything bagel. Definitely uneven, but a more polished game I don't think I would have liked as much, and wouldn't have felt so much like a remake of its source.
In the UK, we got like 3/4 into Digimon Adventure and they started airing episodes sporadically and out of order, don't think we ever got the final episode. No I'm not over it
whiteboard --> ten games --> when i finish one, replace it with a new one using a different marker (it's all like, wine red now, but i just finished LAD: Infinite Wealth so i put LAD: Ishin in there, and it's lime green.)
visually tracking how long games have been on there
That ending of Man Who Erased His Name though…goddamn. There aren’t a lot of franchises that can deliver that kind of payoff for such a long-running character.
if you do a writeup on what you played, I'd read it, but no pressure
