It’s about 900 individual photos, all with different exposures. I manually changed each one as I shot, and then blended them in editing. It’s just a ton of work and about a thousand different ways to mess it up.
Wow I salute your tenacity. I assume you're shooting tethered and changing the settings remotely? That finished product is crazy smooth and soooo beautiful.
The fact its real is amazing because it almost looks like some of the stuff people do with AI... this is stuff I'd love to be able to do in a park or dark sky park with stars.
Cause it does, I’ll do that sometimes when I feel the Timelapse isn’t long enough, you simply reverse the footage effectively doubling the runtime without a hard cut
Awesome. I'm just an old, 76, retired, want-to-be photographer, but I am always amazed and thrilled by photographic talent from around the world by amateurs and professionals.

Holy grail timelapses are a dying art, thanks to improvements in Auto modes on phones and various cameras. I've always wanted to do a proper hg timelapse with my mirrorless but just never taken the time. You really nailed this one. Beautiful clip.
That is an obvious bit of manipulation for artistic reasons but noone is expecting you to believe that Earth's rotation momentarily reversed nor does it mean that the original footage is fake
wow you got a very big heart for Me and am so glad but I don't really talk here on the comments section if you are a committed fan of mine text me privately now or send me a friend request. I promise to accept your request dear

What makes this difficult?
What’s an “obvious” solution that completely doesn’t work?
Outstanding in all ways!
Compo, light, focus, clarity, stability of time-lapse.
Joyous to watch!
Thank you so much for spending so much time! I've done work like this and it take a ton of discipline, but produces astounding video like this!
