It had potential if the writing| IP had been taken seriously by the "writer" [ gag] - its pretty much the same thing that happened with 2016 reboot too.

Ppg could be "modernized" and made darker / more adult so easily ala the Boys - it just would take effort.

If the writing was taken seriously-YES! 💯 Honestly i think there's nothing wrong with a more adult/darker take on PPG. It could be another way to enjoy the IP actually. But sadly it seemed they didn't know... what to focus on?

They could "base" it from the source material (if they wanna go on almost "original" spin) or heavily lean to it. Both ways, still needed more heart and enough exposure to the original series to write properly.

Obviously they chose to do both ways -- which i think demands double effort :/
